In addition to a lifetime of personal commitment to athletics, health & wellness, Evelyn Caron has dozens of years of experience as a professional coach and personal trainer. Her work spans age groups and institutional settings.
In 2001, Evelyn entered the coaching field as an Assistant Coach in the Brooks School field hockey program. She subsequently served in coaching and/or health advocacy roles with Phillips Academy, Cardigan Mountain School, Andover High School and private fitness centers in the Andover area.
In 2017 she completed the WellCoaches Corporation’s Health and Wellness Coach Core Program, the standard-setter in the discipline. Shortly thereafter, Evie obtained national board certification as a Health & Wellness Coach upon passing the professional examination offered by the National Board of Medical Examiners.
After attaining professional certification as a Health & Wellness Coach, Evie quickly raced to the top of the Heath Coaching profession on a national basis. She first honed her skills on a regional basis, engaged by a prominent New England-based insurance-brokerage to develop a high-quality service offering for its corporate clients. Her experience led to engagement by a leading national employee benefit program developer to provide telephonic Health Coaching to employees of a wide range of entities including large corporations & municipalities, plus white-label services to persons with health insurance coverage by one of the highest-profile health insurers in the United States. After a short period of service in this latter role, Evie was recognized as a Senior Health Coach and Thought Leader in the company’s Health Coaching practice. She was subsequently called upon to head a Mentorship Program to inculcate high standards in the firm’s coaching staff and to participate with the firm’s management team to elevate its internal corporate culture. Meanwhile, her skill set grew to include achievements in the specialty areas of Stress Management, Weight Management, Tobacco Cessation and Lifestyle Management.
Her professional development includes the WellCoaches Core Course, multiple college-level courses in physiology & anatomy and several exercise science qualifications (ACE-certified Personal Trainer, Stott-certified Pilates Instructor, Johnny-G Certified Spin Instructor, P-90X certified, Level One Kettle Bell Lifting Course), and Mental Health First Aider (National Council on Behavioral Health).
A New England native, Mrs. Caron is a graduate of The Pike School, Governor’s Academy and Bates College. In service to the community, Evie has been active in raising funds (over $20K) for the Alzheimer’s Association through participation in annual Alzheimer’s Memory Rides. Invested as a Dame of the Order of Malta at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City in 2019, she has participated in the group’s international pilgrimage to Lourdes which annually draws participants from over forty nations. She also leads the organization’s volunteer efforts at The Cor Unum Meal Center in Lawrence, MA. For fun, Evie enjoys long distance running, which has led to her national ranking. She competed in the 2014 and 2015 Boston Marathon, during the latter of which she took second place in her age division. Evie has the New York City Marathon in her sights for the Fall of 2025.
